Biography
Dr. Fangfei Qin is a core member of the State Key Laboratory of Synthetic Biology and an associate professor in the School of Synthetic Biology and Biomanufacturing, Tianjin University. She started her lab in 2025 to develop chemical biology and genomic tools to better understand chromatinized microenvironment for genetic disease therapy.
Qin joined Tianjin University after conducting postdoc research at Whitehead Institute/MIT with Professor Rudolf Jaenisch, where she pursued transposable elements and stem cell study. Qin received her B.S. in Pharmacy in Sun Yat-sen University and her Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Peking University with Prof. Peng R. Chen.
